MSI has announced its lineup of motherboards based on AMD's latest 790GX chipset. MSI will have total of three boards based on this design, the DKA790GX Platinum, DKA790GX and the entry level KA790GX.
It looks like the SB800, a dynamic duo chipset which is a mixture of upcoming RD890 and RS880 chipsets, is going to bring PCIe 3.0 support to the world.
AMD launched its 780G chipset back in march and it still holds the performance crown in this market. As Nvidia has Geforce 8200 and Intel has G45 AMD wanted to hit both IGP competitors while they are still down.
During a chat with one of the motherboard manufacturers we were told that X58 motherboards will be no less than six layers, and might even need eight layers. The reason for this is the triple-channel memory configuration, as it brings with it at leas
